Jimi Hendrix is one of the most electrifying and fiery rock stars of all time. When we say fiery, we mean that literally and figuratively. During the Monterey Pop Festival on June 18, 1967, the world witnessed a rock performance that would alter the world of music for decades to come.

During the festival, The Jimi Hendrix Experience took the stage. It started loud of course. Hendrix delivered vocal brilliance and master guitar riffs. Jimi made use of not only his fingers and hands to play the guitar but also his teeth and mouth during that festival. But, the highlight of it all was when he put down his guitar on the floor, set it ablaze and then smashed it.

It was a full-on rock music masterpiece and chaos. After that, the rest is history.
